Jointly organized by the Palace Museum and the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, “Ceremony and Celebration – The Grand Weddings of the Qing Emperors” exhibition presents over 153 items/sets of exhibits selected from the rare and unique collections of The Palace Museum.  These documents, portraits, costume, personal ornaments, dowry objects, wedding ritual objects and court musical instruments and among others are served to explain the processes of imperial weddings. Furthermore, artefacts highlighting local marriage traditions from local museum collections are also displayed to encourage visitors to explore the similarities and differences between the grand weddings of the Qing emperors and wedding traditions practiced by folks in South China.

CnC is honored to participate in the spatial and multimedia presentation of the introductory hall, installation design of the education corner and animated interpretations of highlighted exhibits. We have also designed exhibition leaflet and education booklet for the public in order to arouse their interest in the topic.
