Co-organized “Bon Bowl Exhibition and Education Workshop” with Hong Kong Public Libraries
The Workshop’s Education Team was invited to plan “A Journey of Love Bon Bowl,” the thematic exhibition of Summer Reading Month 2013—a territory-wide summer programme organized by Hong Kong public libraries.
A quintessential element in the Chinese culture and family life, the “bowl” holds not only food, but also people’s blessing and caring. Starting with a crow of the cock, the exhibition focused on four subjects: “bowl,” “family,” “sharing” and “reunion.” With the aids of 3-dimentional installations, animations and interactive games, through shapes and patterns, tableware and dining space, the distinct interesting features of the correlation of utensils and ethics were explored.
The Team extended the theme into a series of activities—the Bon Bowl education workshops—which were held in the public libraries across the territory.
