The exhibition features over 100 pieces (sets) of treasured exhibits, including the terracotta army of Emperor Qin Shihuang, the warrior and animal figurines of the Emperor Jing of Han, components of chariot, as well as architectural components, showcasing the development of politics, economy, culture, technology and cross-border transportation during the Qin and Han dynasties. The exhibition also introduces the historical development of Hong Kong of the periods.
For this exhibition, Design and Cultural Studies Workshop contributed to the design and content development of the educational interactive zone, including the learning booklets and teaching resource kits for the public. Moreover, we provided two interpretive animations for two artifacts, namely “Pictorial Tial Ends of the Qin and Han Dynasties” and “The Sailing Culture of Yue People” in the main exhibition hall.
Through a lively physical and digital exhibition featuring multimedia animations and interactive games, public interest in understanding the history and culture of the Qin and Han Dynasties and the Lingnan region has been aroused.
