To go with “Harmony and Integrity: The Yongzheng Emperor and His Times,” a mega exhibition jointly held by the Beijing and Taipei Palace Museum, Chiu Kwong Chiu chose Yongzheng Beauties, a series of paintings in the Palace Museum collection, as the theme of his study. He and Ng Ching Man co-authored National Arts: Twelve Beauties, which was published by the Forbidden City Publishing House. Aiming at promoting the Palace Museum collection to the public, the book attempts to analyse traditional relics and palace paintings from the perspective of modern design and suggests various perspectives for appreciating cultural relics.
