The CnC first teamed up with the Hong Kong Museum of Art in 2016 to organise “Living with Bamboo”, an educational programme and exhibition designed to engage the Hong Kong public in exploring the intricate relationship between art and life. In October 2017 the project travelled to another bamboo zone in the Asia-Pacific region – Singapore – with the aim of facilitating the exchange of views and an understanding of the ties between bamboo, life and culture in depth and perspective.

The CnC is particularly grateful to the National Library Board Singapore for the exhibition venue and enabling our education programme series to take place at their activity rooms. A heartfelt thank you goes to the student supplement of the Lianhe Zaobao and the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan for their coverage and reviews of the exhibition. We earnestly hope that visitors find each and all of these bamboo stories fun and inspiring.
